From 0.001 horsepower to more than 700+ horsepower. 

   

Energy.  I have a thing with energy; correction, I have a perpetual fling with energy.  Especially energy measured in horsepowers, preferably lots of horsepowers on an open road.  The potential energy of a roller coaster at the top of a grade, tens of thousands of horsepower engines powering airplanes taking off, hundreds of horsepowers propelling Lamborghini race cars through a turn, the tiny 1/10,000ths of a horsepower of kinetic energy powering a precise Blancpain Swiss Watch… 

 

Blancpain, "the oldest Swiss watch brand" (since 1735) has tamed the energy released in a mainspring, but also understands and participates in high-energy activities as an official sponsor of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing team.  PuristSPro was graciously invited by Blancpain to sample energy in these extreme formats.  E=mc^2 approached by two very different companies.

Look at the beautiful dial of this watch. It's Mother of Pearl dial has a design that reminds me of something that'd be from Marrakech.

For those who live in humid climates or just prefer metal bracelets. The fine links of this gold bracelet makes the bracelet very supple and comfortable.

The ladies version has everything then men's version has on the dial. But I prefer the men's version so much more that I would even recommend the men's version to a lady.

Notice they're floating rotors meaning the disc is separated from the hub. This is done because the disc gets very hot and expands. If it were to expand while on the hub it would warp the hub assembly. Also notice the slot design.

This is turn 1. It's a double apex turn. The first apex is just before the car.

I really like the new Bathyscaphe. Difficult to photograph though.

The movement is finished beautifully. It has beautifully polished anglage.

The winding rotor is actually made of 18K gold.

I even like it on the green NATO strap.

This special edition 50 Fathoms is all black thanks to a polished DLC coating.

The propeller rotor is funny and whimsical. But the perlage on the rotors is quite serious.
