You probably know the Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra Plat Ref 5367 coming with its white enamel dial.
This year, Breguet unveils the same watch, but with an outstanding enamel dial.
The case is made in platinum, with some good proportions ( 41 mm diameter / 7, 45 mm high ) which wears smaller in the real life than " on the paper ". As for the height, it is a bit more important than a non enameled version ( 7, 00 mm ), but the extra height is contained. Indeed, I know some other watches which add one millimeter just for or because of the enamel dial.
Here, the blue hue of the dial is obtained thanks to a blend of several blue nuances.
Something you most probably know is that Breguet, but also other brands, use a gold plate for the dial.
On the press files pictures, this dial looks promising.
The open tipped hands and Breguet silver powder hour markers are such a big and delicious part of the brand's DNA. A pleasure for the eyes.
The off centered tourbillon, located between 4 and o' clock is another characteristic of this brand. I like the simple and sober tourbillon bridge.
Just above the Tourbillon, another Breguet key element the secret signature.
The movement is a pleasure for the eyes, which is not always the case for automatic movements. The decoration is eye catching, and I will wait to see it in the reality to judge its level of finishings.
The Cal 581 is made of 334 parts, 33 jewels, is a 16''' movement and only 3 mm high.
It beats at the pace of 4 Hertz and offers a power reserve of 80 hours. Its balance spring is made in silicon.
Another detail, the tourbillon carriage is made in titanium.
More than these details, this watch oozes class and elegance.
Now the real question is to know if it is above the enamel grand feu white version, which I liked a lot... The answer will come when I see it.
Stay tuned!
Best,
Nicolas
