As the news reported, the new Ferdinand Berthoud models are unveiled at the SIHH 2018 and here are the live pics.

I saw a comment about the "space" on the dial.  No doubt there is a vast space on the dial - doesn't look good or why?

This is the reason.
This is the copy of the sketch by Ferdinand Berthoud and they tried to exactly revive this model.  Look at the dial side on the rifht.

Back side looks quite similar to FB 1.  Consistency as to being the Ferdinand Berthoud Chronometer.

Now, this is a bit of the detail - the general manager asked to make these "Pyramid decoration"....  One by one by hand....

Wow, and another novelty.  Upper side is FB 1 Titanium case, LE of 20.

I love this black face, and very well polished titanium case.  Light!

Yeah, light.  Looks a bit lots of "space" again here.....??

Comparison with the WB FB 1, which the general manager was wearing.

Look well.  This is  not the "space" but they decided to use "Crystal Bridge".  Wow.....

Chamfering, done....

Oh, I so did not want to let this go.....

And another dial color Titanium case....  I like black dial, of course.

"Attention to details" is not only that, but here it is.
The "FB" logo is dark rhodium plated, and there are perlage here, but not only that....

This D-buckle expands!  This is the normal position.

And fully expanded - about the distance of one hole of the strap - no need to change the hole whenever you get fatter after holiday season.....none

And he is THE General Manager of Ferdinand Berthoud.  Yes, you may remember him.  He was L.U.C guy, back when I visited the factory in 2015.  But the truth is he was hired to execute this Ferdinand Berthoud project and now he is full time Ferdinand Berthoud General Manager.  Mr. Vincent Lapaire.  Congratulations, Mr. Laparie.  You have done quite a job.

Again, thank you, Vincent, Cedric, and Chopard Japan team for letting my have this opportunity.

Thanks for sharing, love these pieces Surprised that they didn’t introduce a more accessible piece this year. That being said, I actually think the new version looks very cool and especially instrument-like, given the dial design. I’ve had a soft spot for this brand since intro, and appreciat...

Yeah, the more affordable the better, but this brand deserves true craftsmanship. Thus a bit pricey. Yes, I love this brand, too.

Thank you Ken for this nice pictorial report The FB 1R.6-1 (they should find a name for this one rather than a code) has a divisive dial for sure. But, when it comes to the back. Mamma Mia!!! What a mouvement. A true feast for the eyes. Best wishes Alkiro

The watch name is..... FB 1 Regulator. The '1' means 1st chronometer. The '6' symbolises case material hardened steel. Regards MTF

Excellent, love it. I know nowadays it's not easy to be different and stand out from the rest, and I'm sure that case is not for everyone, but once on the wrist the unusual shape wouldn't matter to me anymore, and after having a look at the movement I could completely forget...
