After reading the many posts in this forum, I wanted to add a couple of A Lange watches to the collection, especially the Datograph and the Zeitwerk Date. Alas, came across this beautiful Richard Lange this week and pulled the trigger, - different target, directionally correct.

Struck me as bizarre that market (observable from the Phillips auction results) tend to overvalue steel Rolex and Patek watches and undervalue watches in precious metals like these.

Frankly, got it at a price below a used modern steel Daytona (no, I did not trade away my Daytona 😃).
