KIH provides an insightful pictorial report from an Andersen Geneve event in Tokyo, hosted at Stella-Polare, a renowned hub for independent watchmakers. The post showcases a range of Andersen Geneve's unique offerings, including the Tempus Terrae World Time watches, Montres à Tact, and the Grand Jour et Nuit, highlighting the brand's distinctive craftsmanship and historical significance.

Pierre-Alexandre, CEO, came to Tokyo with lots of offerings from Andersen Geneve and had a small event at Stella-Polare (Tokyo's hidden gem place exclusively for independent watchmaker watches).  I am really sorry that Andersen's Secular Perpetual missed the prize, but nonetheless there are lots of wonderful watches.  Here are some pictorial reports.

Please read with my previous report here:

Heures du Monde (World Time Watches) - Tempus Terrae 5th Edition of Worldtime Watch.  Have been reported in the past - so enjoy the photo of the tiro (see the difference of the guilloche pattern on the blue gold dial).

Next up is Motres a Tact - A unique way to read Time.

Just look at the hand engraved guilloche pattern.

Back side.

Unique way to adjust the time.

Now, this is Grand Jour et Nuit - 2nd Edition - A timepiece with a history.

The white one is 0.3mm white marble(!), and the blue one is Aventurine.  Other then these, there are Jade and Grossularite as well.

The first "Jour et Nuit" was elaborated as a "Piece Unique".  Afterwards, in 1998, it was discovered by managers of Cartier in 1988.  Then Andersen Geneve manufactured a special edition of 125 watches for their "Pasha".  The first "Grand Jour et Nuit" edition under the Andersen Geneve brand, was realized with a base movement Frederic PIguet 15, conbined with the genius jumping hour mechanism developed and manufactured in the atelier.   Frederic Piguet, now owned by Swatchgroup, has stopped the production of this caliber, developed in 1960.  Andersen secured 50 movement (with some for spare) for this model.
The second edition "Grand Jour et Nuit" with the very classic movement Frederic Piguet, hand wounded and ultra-flat (although a bit big in diameter), The double hour hand, asociated with the small minute hand at 6h.
Limited adition of:
30 in red gold 5N
20 in white gold

Some are still available.

Now, this is the one which was candidate for GPHG - Secular Perpetual Calendar.   400 years accuracy...

Thanks, Pierre-Alexandre, and thanks, Stella-Polare for your hospitality.

About the De Bethune DB25 Ref. DB25

De Bethune DB25 Reference DB25

The DB25 represents De Bethune's entry in the 44.5mm manual-wind category, distinguished by its silver dial configuration within the DB25 series. This reference launched in 2006 and continues the brand's approach to contemporary haute horlogerie complications.

The 44.5mm case is crafted from 18k white gold with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. Water resistance extends to 30 meters. The manual-winding caliber DB2105 movement provides a substantial 120-hour power reserve. The watch features a leather strap attachment.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking De Bethune's technical approach to timekeeping in a precious metal case. The extended power reserve and manual-wind operation position it for enthusiasts who appreciate hands-on interaction with their timepieces. The 44.5mm sizing places it in contemporary proportions within the independent watchmaking segment.

I got to see one of his pieces at Tempus-Arte in Dresden this past March. Beautiful dial work, as I remember. Thanks for this report, Ken.
