It was in the same space as a Bugatti Veyron in front of a cabinet that held the first AP Royal Oak Concept watch. I think that this collaboration with AP is one of the more successful car/watch partnerships. Cheers, Baruch
Not for me, obviously, but I understand the appeal and admire APβs work. You describe it very well.
and I had to check what a Bugatti Veyron is (π), but I agree with you, Baruch, that this is an impressive piece in its own right and style. Best, Emmanuel
I donβt always get that impression with other collaborations Iβve seen. Additionally, the openwork component and choice of platinum make this a very special piece. How nice it would be for AP to do a Millenary re-issue.
On the one hand I like both the idea and the execution of the MC12 as the car. The watch, though, I do not find filly convincing. The back side is glorious IMHO but the dial free front is the opposite of functionality (and in those case legibility) one would associate with the car. And the watch is unnecessarily thick, which also doesnβt fit with a race-car inspired sports car π€·π»ββοΈ They all have their happy owners and I applaud them but I feel AP could have done this a tad differently π
with watches going from traditional and conservative (my taste) to futuristic and bold (less my taste, but great however). Best, Emmanuel
