ED209 shares an annual tradition, documenting the leap year date transition of his Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Openworked Perpetual Calendar reference 25829ST. His detailed photo essay captures the intricate dance of the calendar subdials as they advance from February 28th/29th to March 1st, offering a rare glimpse into the mechanical marvel of this complication.

Didn't know that the perpetual calentar had that feature!! Good to know!! Best! Ernesto
The RO Openwork Perpetual Calendar just made the experience even sweeter. Thanks for bringing us through this interesting transition :) Wayne
I always love looking at this piece of yours Ed, and thanks very much for showing the Feb 28th turnover! The small hand in the month subdial @ 12oรงlock - is that the year indicator? And I agree, 39mm is a perfect size for the RO (I have the 39mm chrono).
... I like the dial, back full of engraving, and the blued hands.... It has everything you would need..... Wonderful photo report to understand the beauty of it. Thanks! Ken
pictures, what a great watch this is. Cheers Francois from Down Under
Thanks Nicolas! Regards, ED-209
