First let´s have a look at something “bold” in almost all white. The new AP ROO “white ceramic” (Ref. 26402CB.OO.A010CA.01) in 44mm.
Case :
White ceramic case, glareproofed sapphire crystal and caseback, white ceramic bezel, screw-locked crown and pushpieces, titanium pushpiece guards and links, water-resistant to 100 m
Dial :
Light silver-toned dial with “Méga Tapisserie” pattern, blue counters, white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating, blue inner bezel

White ceramic case, doesn´t it sound feminine? Is it because of what comes immediately to my mind, a ladies watch from Chanel? Anyhow, this watch we are talking about here is far from being female. The design approach is very strong, modern and even bold to some eyes. Almost all white makes it even more powerful, but you should look at the colored details as well. Especially the blue ones are gorgeous and add some very addictive spice – not to mention the red details.
As an object it is very nice, isn´t it?
I
didn´t have the chance to see it at SIHH in Geneva, but had the pleasure seeing
and handling it at a special appointment some weeks later. It was great like
this, because the light situation was much better than it could ever be at any
show – not to speak about the much more relaxed atmosphere 
To put it on the wrist and to shoot it myself is something I like a lot and
this time it was no exception.

change quite a lot, depending on the light. No exception here, but in any case this
one is readable and sexy – yes I

So, how does it feel and look on the wrist?
44mm is quite big for a wrist like mine, but AP did a great job to make it wearable. Especially the rubber strap I would like to mention. It feels solid and smooth at the same time. The white strap, will it still look good after some time? I don´t know, but would love to give it a try. The ROO´s above 42mm are not my favorites (at least most of the time) and the big pushers are something I would like to see on very few models only. On the wrist they didn´t hurt and also the weight of the watch was just perfect. To make it short, I would give 9 points out of 10 – regarding wear ability. It is not a business watch for sure, but a casual day at the sea … or at the Miami Art Fair … is something that comes to my mind.
The
secret of this watch are probably the (subtle) details – the angles, the
material mix, the different high level finishing and of course the non-color. The
one I saw was a prototype and there have been some minor flaws, but even those
added additional character. The latter is strength of the watch, because
something in all white could look very cold as well. It´s like white shirts,
most of them are boring and the very good ones are to die for. White watches
from Le Brassus and white shirts from Napoli or Paris …

Still there is the question from the beginning – what do they have in common. The AP ROO “white ceramic” 44mm is something nobody needs, perfect in the details and just so adorable for that special moments in life – when you don´t think about business, customers, money and so on. So is any boat (motor or sailing) from WALLY, even when the latter come with an even higher price. Both are not for Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but just perfect for those with an appropriate life-style and eclectic taste.
Final conclusion :
To my biggest surprise – I like it a lot and in a perfect (holiday) world it would be my (current) first choice from the 2014 AP novelties!

Wow, that boat caught my attention. The watch maintained it. I remember the Wallypower 118. That was released about ten years ago, capable of more than 70 miles per hour. Thanks for the post. And thanks for including the boat. Brings me back to the time when I first heard of that boat which was a pleasant and innocent time.
I don't want to like the watch (because it is white!!! and you are right, the first thing that comes to mind is Chanel!), and I am saying this as an AP RO Chrono Panda owner, so I love the brand. But the dial is absolutely mesmerizing, the blue edge is amazing, i wish we can see this color in other dials going forward. The Red hands are the right hands for this look. The way the blue changes in the light is superb too. If this dial configuration was placed in an RO Chrono, I would probably have
