Dear All,
I wanted to share my latest acquisition: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Ref. 26420CE.OO.A063VE.01, which was pretty unexpected for several reasons:
A few days ago I visited the AP House thinking, "once again there will be no watch available, but why not?"
I know I’m not the only one who has criticized AP’s new boutique policies—especially the lack of availability—but I decided to give it a try anyway.
To my surprise, I found not only the code 11.59 pieces but also several Royal Oak Offshore models.
I had never tried the new 43mm version, yet I instantly fell in love with Ref. 26420CE.OO.A127CR.01 (black with yellow-gold accents) and reserved it on Saturday.
Today I returned to the boutique, and despite my reservation, the watch was already sold. Fortunately, the green-ceramic Ref. 26420CE.OO.A063VE.01 (the model I eventually purchased) was still in stock, and I like it even more.
The shape is fantastic (love the new button style), and the presence is great. The ceramic/titanium combination makes the watch very light—a real pleasure to wear. Although I have a small wrist, it fits perfectly.
It’s an exuberant, bold statement piece, yet the dark-green ceramic tones it down visually, making it look slightly smaller.
I hope you enjoy the photos taken right outside the AP House—I wanted to share my joy with you all. I was lucky to meet a representative I already knew, which made the experience especially pleasant. They even had the short straps in stock, which fit perfectly.
I loved my first purchase at an AP House and feel fortunate to have found the model I like most from the new line!
How do you like it ?
Christian

You have identified the ergonomics of this 43mm. Some say it fits even better than a 42mm, and it is hard to argue that point. AP had done a fantastic job refreshing this iconic line.
The green looks absolutely wonderful. Am Seeing a lot of love for the ROO on WPS recently. I should really pull out my 43mm titanium from the storage soon.
and the weight benefits of ceramic and titanium, like mine but without added carbon, adds further to wearability. And also agree that the black visually scales down the size, something I, too, really appreciate about mine. To me the 44 was perfect but I understand the love the 43 endears. Enjoy 😉
You didn’t want to wait for the black and gold version you chose initially?
in rose gold and seemd more chunky somehow ?
was a total love at first sight..resisted the week end but then I knew I had to get it ! Love the green combination fits even better than the black/yellow gold accents one. Is also the latest model I believe.
