amanico reflects on his past ownership of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Juan Pablo Montoya Titanium, a watch he describes as his 'Ex King of Cool.' Despite his deep affection for its design elements like the strap, titanium case, and carbon bezel, he ultimately parted with it due to comfort issues. His post offers a candid look at the compromises collectors sometimes face, even with highly coveted pieces.

At the time I had it, in 2005, I was not good at taking pictures, so here is one I found on the net.

I loved its strap, the dial, the titanum case and this superb carbon bezel.

I would have never sold it if it could comfortably sit on my wrist.

A pity, as I really loved it a lot!

Best,

Nicolas

Love it, marveled at it just yesterday

as it was sitting in a local grey's display window. Have never tried it on - what's your wrist size, Nico? Cheers Marc

17 cm, but it didn't sit well on my wrist, curiously. Maybe the fault of the folding clasp?

Thank you. Will have to try it if only

to scratch that particular itch I've been having for a few years now.

Be careful, it is an addictive watch.

That grey I'm sure is gonna ask

millions for it so I'll be fine/miserable.

It is not that high, in my memory.
