MichaelC provides an initial glimpse into Audemars Piguet's novelties unveiled at SIHH 2013, offering a preview of key releases before detailed reports. His early observations highlight significant new perpetual calendars, grand complications, and ceramic Offshore models, setting the stage for deeper dives into AP's strategic direction and horological innovations.

Hello Friends,

We will be working to bring reports and coverage of all the new AP novelties in the coming days.  I have several appointments tomorrow in which I will take detailed photos and gather information.

In the meantime, here are are few highlights for AP:

- 3 gorgeous new Offshore perpetual calendars (offered in titanium, rose gold, and platinum cases)
- 2 stunning additions to the Tradition line, one a Grand Complication and the other a minute repeater tourbillon chronograph
- New all ceramic 44mm Offshore - basically identical to the current ceramic/forged carbon Offshore but with a ceramic case
- New all ceramic Diver with orange accents, available as a boutique-only piece

Much more to come.  Here are just a few quick photos snapped through the display cases in difficult lighting...

The other pieces being offered seem largely to be more evolution, versus revolution. Nothing wrong with that, of course! The new Diver should be quite popular. Looking forward to hearing your more in-depth thoughts, Michael! Cheers, Daos

SIHH has proved to be an incredible experience. Unfortunately, there has been little down time aside from a few hours to sleep, and internet connections are spotty at best.
