Audemars Piguet's "Philosophique" ref. 14289.002 dates back to 1982 and... I like it very much!
Being on time is certainly important in many social or professional situations, but taking one's time isn't always wasting it, and one single hand indicating only approximately the hour and minutes can be more than enough.
And AP has added a wonderful almost invisible feature: a turning-bezel with a gold stud or gemstone marker, which enables to read the time in another time-zone. Single hand & time-zone: simply unique.
To me, this small and elegant watch, simplified to the extreme, is as poetic as it is supposed to be βphilosophiqueβ...
Best, Emmanuel
Gold stud marker variant

Have been often tempted but would need to see how it fits on the wrist ππ»
As the photos show, I think it wears well, but small (itβs only 31mm).
Would be a great target for a [RE]Master
