Founded in 2017 by Nicolas Ducoudert, Beaubleu is a French brand that, from the very beginning, chose a distinctive design element: round or circular hands.

Since 2017 these hands were featured only in round-cased watches.

Now, Beableu introduces a line of rectangular (semi-octogonal) shaped watches within its permanent "Ecce" collection: the "Ecce Figura" line, composed of 6 different variations.

I've always appreciated, even admired, this brand of very affordable watches as I find these circular shaped hands very original and Nicolas Ducoudert's overall approach bold.

But this new line strikes me as particularly interesting: as surprising as it may be, it seems to me that the circular hands take on their full meaning and beauty in this contrasting rectangular-shaped case...

Probably not to everyone's taste, but certainly worth sharing.

Best, Emmanuel

But I think they work even better in this rectangular case. I like the Alba on black strap, in particular.

what made the Seconde Francaise so interesting was the mesmerizing floating seconds hand that seemed unattached to anything. Not the same effect here, but cool to see something different

the hands are very interesting ( I might prefer to see only the hour and minute) the Milanese bracelet is very attractive and the dial color selection is very good.

I prefer the center second, but it's a personal taste. Best, Emmanuel

The round hands remind me of Raketa watches of old - here’s mine (albeit not all hands are round here) 👋🏻
