CaliforniaJed shares his growing 'obsession' with Breguet, particularly highlighting the La Tradition 7027ba and its captivating dial-side movement. His post invites fellow collectors to showcase their favorite Breguet pieces, fostering a community discussion around the brand's unique blend of industrial aesthetics, traditional DNA, and historical innovation.

I must admit that lately I am obsessing with Breguet. i have been reading both new and years old posts here, and in particular I have been looking at many images of many Breguet tourbillons (the La Tradition Fusee Tourbillon literally made me drool once) and also the 3137, whose movement I find simply stunning.  Am I getting older, wiser or both? I just find Breguet dials, hands, numbers and movements more and more appealing. The cases, and particularly the lugs, are sometimes too delicate to me, but typically I am so enamored of the dials that I don't dwell on the cases!  In any event, I am lucky enough to own one Breguet, and I took some time to capture a few images of my own this evening to remind myself how beautiful I find the La Tradition 7027ba.

I would certainly appreciate it if you would add to this thread images of your favorite Breguet, and perhaps a word or two as to why it is your favorite.  This La Tradition is my favorite. I enjoy watching its movement from the dial side, and I enjoy what I perceive as it's harmonious balance of industrial and traditional aesthetics.  Of course, its Breguet DNA is evident and obvious, as is the case with most watches from Breguet.  I like, too, that i share an admiration of this watch with two PuristS I also admire.

Best,

About the Breguet Classique Ref. 3137

The reference 3137 represents Breguet's approach to classical watchmaking within the Classique series. This reference features a 36mm case size that positions it as a traditionally proportioned timepiece within the model range.

The watch houses an automatic movement within an 18k yellow gold case measuring 36mm in diameter. The silver dial is protected by sapphire crystal, and the timepiece offers 30 meters of water resistance. The design incorporates a fixed bezel as part of the overall case construction.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking a precious metal automatic timepiece with classical proportions. The 36mm case size and yellow gold construction target those who prefer traditional sizing and materials. The automatic movement and sapphire crystal reflect contemporary technical standards within the Classique series framework.

I had this one... I still wonder why I sold it: I also had a superb White Gold Chrono Perpetual Calendar which came with a blue dial, which I loved a lot till the hands had the strange habit to go for holidays in the dial. At the third time it happened to me, I repaired it and sold it. I still own this one, for almost 8 years, now: And it is still honeymoon! I must admit that I have this Tradition in my mind, in white gold, the 367 mm case version, for its dial and its movement. As well as the 3

Nicolas, Your enamel piece was beautiful. It has the features which is shared by the current two production pieces. I don't like the date on the smaller piece but like the sweep seconds and smaller size and open back. But I like the Arabic painting style on the larger piece. This piece has it all! Was yours open back? Was it a lemania movement? It looks smaller.35mm? May I ask the reference number? I have not seen this one before. The winding stem is icing on the cake. Best, Joe

The platinum and vintage type XXs are exquisite. I'm curious to hear more about your dissatisfaction with the movements? What in particular is lacking in appeal (if you can put your finger on it?) I marvel at so many of them... Is the 3037 a solid caseback? I like the 3137 for the skeletonized movement... Best, CaliforniaJed

Of refinement than the other parts of the watch. Not that they are bad, they could be better decorated and finished, IMO, and, of course, in general, as the movement in the Tradition looks coherent with the rest of the watch, IMO once again. Let's say that I expect more from a Breguet movement when I see the level of their dial, and their exquisite case. If I remember it well, the 3037 had a solid case back, but it is a long time I didn't see one. I don't own the Vintage, but they are among the
