Jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) shares his Breguet Marine, emphasizing its understated elegance and versatility for daily wear in Singapore's humid climate. His personal reflection on the watch's suitability for different environments and his appreciation for its design elements offer a relatable perspective for collectors considering a luxury sports watch.
Was with my family yesterday at the Esplanade area in Singapore.
Took the chance to snap this wrist shot just before sunset.
Some say the bracelet is not the best but in hot humid Singapore it's perfect. Also I do appreciate the design a lot as it has a mainly brushed and a small portion of polished finishing on the links.
My Marine was almost shouting at me "take me to the sea!!"
One day I will. As of now, it's still a little too precious for me to do that. The pool is the most outdoor place I bring it to now. My PPro ABR will arrive next week. It will be my dedicated "rough" watch.
Enjoy the pic
Cheers
Robin

That is a gorgeous watch Robin. The Marine does not appear to be popular amongst this crowd. Actually Breguet does not seem so popular for some odd reason. Your Marine would look great on an alligator strap, but I understand Singapore weather (I used to work in the building on the right of the Fullerton in your pic). I have been so tempted to get the Marine Royale, with the alarm. Twice it has been on shopping list top 5 but in the end I went for other watches. One day I will get one, and a Hora
Will indeed make any collector very happy and satisfied. Thanks Dean for your nice words. I love Breguet and am aiming for a La Tradition 37mm next. I believe there are quite many Breguet owners but they are not those who post on forums. Similar to VCs in a way. These brands are quite popular in Asia but have lower profile somehow. I hope to see more Breguet owners sharing their watches here too. Cheers Robin
La Tradition is a sublime choice. 37mm for me wears too small unfortunately. Maybe one day I'll be able to comfortably afford the 41mm stunning Fusee Tourbillon. Aiming high ! Dean
Is one hell of a piece of horology! Update us when you get it! :) Have a gd weekend my friend Cheers Robin
Always very encouraging to us PuristS. I will always remember the early days I started posting (instead of lurking around). You would always respond in an encouraging way that led to one post after another from me. I just realized I have crossed 700 posts already! Thank you my friend and jedi master Cheers Robin
It would be a pity to see such a passionate gentleman just lurking, when he has so many interesting things to write about watches! All the best, my friend, and keep the posts coming. Nicolas
