Foversta provides an exclusive look into the inauguration cocktail of the Breitling Boutique on Rue de la Paix in Paris. His report captures the aviation-themed celebration, featuring Breitling ambassador John Travolta and other notable personalities, offering a vivid account of the event's atmosphere.

Today, I had the great pleasure to attend the inauguration cocktail organised by Breitling to celebrate the opening of the new Boutique Rue de la Paix in Paris. Even if the Boutique has started its activity several months ago, this event gave the true kick-off. Breitling gathered more than 350 guests in a very entertaining atmosphere to celebrate the close link between the brand and aviation.

But only the main ambassador could act at the ribbon-cutting ceremony to wish the best future to the Boutique: John Travolta. And it was not the John Travolta the famous actor who was present. It was the other John Travolta, the pilot with more than 6.000 hours of flight.

I propose you to browse this pictorial report to relive the event.

A marquee was set up to welcome the guests at the back of the boutique:

After having got my "boarding pass" to be able to attend the event, I waited for John Travolta's arrival with the photographs:

The ribbon was ready:

A very nice light show on the other side of the Rue de la Paix:

Victoria Silvstedt was also present for the ribbon-cutting ceremony:

Ribbon cut!

Then we entered the Boutique. John Travolta with Ben Balmer, Breitling Marketing director:

I prefered to stay on the first floor of the boutique to take the pictures:

Some views of the Boutique. Of course, we will recognize the decoration which follows the common style of any Breitling flagship store. The nose art inspiration is obvious!

I had to wait a bit before being able to go downstairs...

Two pilots of the Breitling Jet team:

The whole Jet Team was watching the photographers struggling to get the best pics. Better to stay safe upstairs!

The showcases:

The Navitimer Blue Sky 60th Anniversary featuring caliber B01 with a power reserve of 70 hours.

With a bracelet:

Gold case:

Another bracelet (I prefer this classic one):

Back to the marquee!

The whole Breitling jet Team:

Jose Garcia joined them for the picture. All of them were proudly wearing their Breitling watches.

What I really like in Aviation is the crew!

I could miss this picture! This little cake is coming from my hometown, Bordeaux. The Cannelé is delicious and requires a perfect timing for the cooking.

Outside pictures of the Boutique:

Ready to welcome the visitors from tomorrow morning!

The biggest surprise was this show by a pole dancer! She was really impressive and flexible I must confess! Another way to do some aerobatics without a fighter!

Not the easiest position:

About to land safely:

A last picture of the atmosphere:

Back home with the goodies!

I would like to thank a lot the Breitling team for the organisation of the event and of course, I wish the best for the Boutique and its staff.

How did they think to bring Cannelés, by the way? Thiis is not a well known patisserie... Best, Nicolas

FrX, Thanks for the report. We had no such luck in Singapore for the Navitimer premiere launch. No pole dancer, No Bordeaux cakes and No Victoria Silverstedt. Who is this Victoria secret? :-) Are the cakes like rhum baba? Regards, MTF

I nearly missed this report! The show is not too big or too "people" like, this is something I appreciate. I could visit the boutique not long ago and the atmosphere is really hitting the target. I haven't seen this blue version but I must say some Navitimers are quite exciting. Guess you had good memories of the show ;) (don't do this at home though) Thanks for the deep feedback. Cheers, Mark
