Bruno.M1's acquisition of the Bulgari Octo Finissimo in steel with a blue dial sparks a compelling discussion on its place among luxury sports watches. His initial reservations about the titanium model's monochromatic aesthetic were overcome by the steel version's striking appearance and exceptional comfort. This article explores Bruno.M1's bold assertion that the Octo Finissimo stands shoulder-to-shoulder with icons like the Nautilus and Royal Oak, offering a unique value proposition.

Since I saw the first Octo Finissimo I loved the watch, only one thing that did not convince me was the titanium case and the fact that case, dial and bracelet all had the same colour. Now, when Bvlgari released the steal finissimo with blue dial I couldn't resist.
So well made, already an iconic watch and that ultra thin movement really rocks.
I have worn quite a few Nautilus and Royal Oak (and the offshores). I will NOT say the Bvlgari is better ............... But I can't say it's less. Imo they do belong in the same category with one big exception... you don't have to beg your AD to get one. Maybe that will change one day.
As for the price ? It's a bargain compared to Mr and Misses Nautilus-Royal Oak.
Now putting it on the wrist .. it is simply better. Never had a more comfortable watch.

Tried the first titanium and steel versions recently and was really impressed. But in combination with this blue dial the watch is a stunner! Have to call my AD to get a chance putting it on my wrist. One of the most iconic Genta Designs in my opinion. I'm not the biggest Nautilus Fan and prefer the more masculine RO. A more masculine design I see as well here. Just a bit more complex with all the corners and edges. And all this in such a thin case with automatic movement. Wow!

Superb. Why? I participate for a Bulgari Octo. The titanium finissimo i like, i have no problem it have a one tone presence. But your steel with blue dial is also ultra sonic. The chronograph model, that is a master peace. The rotor technology is unique and is evidence Bvlgari is a tru player at the fine arts of watchmaking. Innovative, groundbreaking in mechanical watches beyond all aspects.

But when Bvlgari watches discovered by the mass? Stars who go to wear Bvlgari watches? On the other hand, Bvlgari made specific kind of watches for enthusiasts, so no need to be afraid. This thing had also happen to JLC, my words. Talking about JLC, it is time i get one.

Blue dials are often too bright or too dull, but here Bulgari offers a very nice shade of blue, neither too bright nor too dull, that works very will in the Octo design....subtle yet eye-catching at the same time. Cheers, John
