Cazalea embarks on an ambitious project to wear every watch in their extensive collection over a short period, offering a unique perspective on watch ownership and appreciation. This installment, focusing on non-round cases, provides a fascinating glimpse into the diversity of shapes and designs within a single collector's trove. Readers will discover a range of timepieces, from dual-time Hyseks to a vintage Vulcain Cricket, each with its own story and character.

In order to be sure none of "my lovelies" are neglected this year, I am wearing them all between Dec 21-31. As half are now piled on my dresser, I can see the bottom of the pile in the watch cabinet, and it looks indeed like we might get to 100 before the year is out. (Even if I have to rush out and buy a couple ...)

This morning the theme is non-round cases (rectangular, square, etc) and I want to start with

#41 & 42 Hysek twin dual-time quartz watch(s) -- one of which annoyingly reminded me that its battery needed changing, so I did both:

BEFORE

DURING

AFTER

With time 2 on GMT and time 1 on Pacific Standard Time

(yes I am counting this as two; two movements, two cases, two batteries, two crystals, one strap)

#43 Hysek watch powered by an ETA manual wind tiny woman's movement.

# 44 is my Vulcain Cricket alarm, virtually NOS on bracelet. It was NOS when I bought it in 2003 and I've rarely worn it.

Now comes a dilemma? Do you count this next one as one watch or two? One case, one movement, two dials, two times, two pushers, one strap.

#45 is the JLC Grande GMT one watch with two pictures, in a mirror for grins smile

It's time to stop for breakfast. Merry Christmas to all of you around the other side of the world where that day has arrived.

#46 A gold JLC Reverso is accompanying me to breakfast...

Stop by if you have a chance later for the rest of today's 10.

PS - I am finding this experience to be a lot of fun - almost like getting a bunch of new watches for free, or meeting old friends and renewing acquaintances.

#47 is a very old Geneve

#48 A Bulova hybrid Accu-Quartz gold(tone) #8 with broken date, sorry

#49 Gold cuff link Endura manual wind, and

#50 My other Universal Geneve.

An an ancient Swatch whose strap is long gone, but it still runs (for insurance as #50 if you didn’t agree with the Hysek Dualtime counting as 2)

I remember Hysek's Kirium for Tag Heuer was a watch that caught my eye very early on. Only laster did I find out it was Hysek designed, when I was looking up info on the Vacheron 222. You have some wild stuff in the watch drawer, 50 more to go!

... as a matter of fact I think it is very fun and you inspire me to do something similar next year: to wear about ten watches a day during a period of time till wearing all in my collection! You inspire me to do that! There are many watches I don´t even see in a long time indeed. Thank you for sharing your experience!! All the best, Abel
