This came in just before New Year's and I wanted to share it with you. As you can see, I went with the 22k YG case. This was the first wristwatch to use George Daniels' double impulse escapement on Derek Pratt's suggestion and it is the only wristwatch to use Derek Pratt's shock protection system which is theoretically superior to current types in use. Vintage Rolex dealer James Dowling should have his delivered in a few months, so it'll be nice to compare notes with him. It's a dream to wind and wear. The movement has a lot of depth and the black polish in the English style of finishing is very nice. The hands and applied numerals are hand polished and flame blued to a blue purple in the English style. The watch is 42.2mm X 10.5mm thick, it slides easily under a shirt cuff. My wrist is a flat 7.25 inches, for comparison. For more information:

The watch was made for your wrist. My wrist is more than half an inch smaller so when I tried the watch on two years ago, it was too large despite the short lugs. Enjoy this very special watch which I consider to be one of the best time only watches on sale in the market - comparable to a RW Smith Series 1 with arguably a more attractive movement at a more reasonable price!

Non superfluous, contained, functional, highly technical English luxury. Wonderful watch. HNY

Congrats, and excellent choice. I hadn’t picked up on the novel shock absorption system, and will try to read about it.

I hope to go there, maybe this time next year. The comparison between the RWS and CF is an apt one. Thanks again for your kind words.
