MichaelC's initial post on the Chopard Alpine Eagle Titanium with its distinctive 'minimal openworking' sparked a focused discussion among collectors. His observations highlight a design choice that deviates from traditional full skeletonization, prompting a deeper look into how brands approach movement visibility. This article explores the community's nuanced reactions to Chopard's execution, contrasting it with established openworked movements from other haute horlogerie brands.

This one caught my eye.  I like the minimal openworking.  Not like a full openworked movement ala AP or Parmigiani.

Low effort skeletons look really rough to me. I like the closed dial variant of this watch a lot but this does nothing for me.

I wonder what they would come up with if they did apply a real openwork method to the movement parts and not just the plates.
