MTF offers a fascinating preview of Chopard's involvement with the 68th Cannes Film Festival, highlighting the brand's dual presence on both the traditional Red Carpet and the 'Green Carpet' for sustainable luxury. This article delves into Chopard's role in crafting the Palme d'Or and showcases potential watch and jewelry ensembles for the event, emphasizing the brand's commitment to ethical sourcing.
On 24th May 2015 the winners of the 68th Cannes Film Festival will be known.
We cannot reveal the Chopard Cannes Stars for 2015 but expect a new jewellery watch, a ring, earrings and a long pendant to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Palme d'Or as the symbol of the festival......
Until then, we can only speculate about the other watches and jewellery on the Red or Green Carpet.
Why Green?, you ask, Surely the Red Carpet is the norm? Indeed, but Chopard supports sustainable luxury with the ‘Green Carpet Collection’ of high jewellery, made from Fairmined gold and responsibly sourced diamonds, accredited by the Responsible Jewellery Council.
Even the Palme d'Or is now of Fairmined gold since 2014.
CHOPARD redesigned and produced the Palme d'Or (Golden Palm) award since 1998 for the Cannes Film Festival.
Have a look at the video of the process.
In 2014, the CHOPARD Trophy was awarded to Adèle Exarchopoulos and Logan Lerman as Female and Male Revelation of the Year.
They received prizes from Cate Blanchett, winner of the 2014 Best Actress Academy Award.
For aficionados of the glamour, which watches and jewellery will be seen on the Red Carpets?
I won't be far wrong with my guesses of the following ensembles:

L.U.C XPS in Fairmined Rose Gold and the ravishing grey dial
For Ladies
Haute Joaillerie Temptations

L.U.C XPS 35mm Esprit de Fleurier ref.131968-1002
Chopard Haute Joaillerie Collection

Haute Joaillerie l'Heure du Diamant watch

MTF
Sometimes the backside is more attractive than the front. This rule applies to watches too and the CHOPARD L.U.C XPS 35mm Esprit de Fleurier is one of those that proves it. I suppose nobody will wear it backside facing out at Cannes!?! ;) Regards, MTF
