Moka-Tiger (Ron) shares his long-awaited acquisition of the Chopard Alpine Eagle XPS, a timepiece that captured his attention at Watches & Wonders 2023. His personal account highlights the emotional connection collectors often form with watches, emphasizing the unique aesthetic and technical details that make this reference stand out. Ron's experience underscores the anticipation and satisfaction inherent in acquiring a highly coveted watch.

When I first saw a pic of this AE XPS posted here during W&W 2023 this March, it was love at first sight,
so I immediately sent an email to my AD and said I MUST have this one.
He happened to be attending W&W in Geneva at the time and put in my order there.
After waiting 8 months, the wait was worth it.

What more could I ask for? It's perfect for me with that beautiful eagle-eye dial and shimmering monte rosa pink color.
Plus the small seconds, thin bezel, thin height, gold micro-motor, and best of all, no date window.
Seeing it in the flesh, I find it to be sporty but elegant enough to be dressy too.
The best of both worlds.

I would love to see an option for a rubber strap.

I was so excited to take a few pics, I didn't realize until after that the plastic was still there. It's gone now.
