I have been on a strap spree recently and have fitted anything from colourful NATOs to chicken leg leathers to my watches (here: www.watchprosite.com the pterodactyl smile).

The one that I had kept quiet about was the Chopard LUC Chrono One. I have fitted it with a fresher, grey croc earlier this year (here: www.watchprosite.com for some pictures).

Now I decided to follow Arie's lead for the summer and ordered an elephant strap for the watch for the coming months.

And I have to say the strap is quite a success IMHO. First of all it is easy to dress down, as seen below. The grain pattern is quite unique and hence interesting. And the black on black is a relatively classic combination but the material makes it more relaxed than a croc.

And here is what it looks like, not marred by a wrist. wink

And finally, in a more formal setting. Perhaps not the most classical of combinations but definitely doable for a suit, if you need it...

So now we're down to one strap to go, which will be anything but classical and understated wink

Thanks for viewing!

And will get back on after the summer But definitely not a job I fancy doing myself with this watch (not nearly as easy as with the Seikos and Grand Seikos), so not something that will be changing all the time Thanks, Alkiro!

But elephants are endangered, aren't they? How did you manage this?

Which has a licence for this - ll the skins coming from necessary, controlled culling. Otherwise (if I was not convinced of this), I would never even think about it.

I could see it on the Dato very easily.

You'll see it live soon, anyway...
