To celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Ecole d'Horlogerie de Genève (Geneva watchmaking school), Chopard adds a new member to the Heritage family: the Chopard L.U.C. Heritage EHG Moon 122, limited to 20 pieces.

Made in 18k “ethical” rose gold, the case is 44 x 12.7 mm.

The dial is made of aventurine, with running seconds at 9 o'clock and a moon phase accurate to 122 years at 3 o'clock.

The gilt Chopard branding, is printed on the underside of the sapphire crystal.

The handwound caliber 63.04-L adds the moonphase complication to the previous Ecole (school) caliber 63.01-L, which had a simple dial with a 9 o’clock running seconds. It runs at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) with a power reserve of 60 hours on a full wind and bears the Geneva Seal.

Best, Emmanuel

my favorite from the show so far (notwithstanding VC's Solaria of course). Perhaps unsurprisingly, as I have loved this complication on JLCs for such a long time. Dare I say, here it comes in a somewhat 'affordable' package.... Thank you for the high quality pictures, cheers, Filip

...but why does it have to be so big?

students of the Geneva watchmaking school train themselves. This watch isn’t exactly a “normal” market watch: it’s a tribute to Chopard’s partnership with the EHG to which they provide the parts and many other things for the training of the students. Best, Emmanuel

It’s the pocket watch movement that Chopard supplies to the Geneva watchmaking school. Big movement so a big case.
