Lankysudanese initiates a compelling 'horological warfare' by pitting two prominent stainless steel perpetual calendars against each other: the Chopard L.U.C Perpetual Twin and the IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar. This discussion delves into the nuances of design, movement, and value proposition, inviting collectors to weigh in on which timepiece ultimately triumphs in this competitive segment. Lankysudanese's original post sets the stage for a rich debate on high-complication watches at a specific price point.

When it comes to perpetual calendars, I gravitate back to Patek â and thats only if I want one which I donât at this point. I think the presentation of a PC is very important. The problem with the Chopard is the case size. If at 39-40mm I think this wouldâve stood out a bit more.
But then again (please correct me if Iâm wrong) Patek doesnât make a dress watch perpetual calendar in stainless steel. if they did, it wouldnât be in the same pricing category and the waitlist would be quoted in âdecadesâđđ
