KIH shares his recent visit to a Chopard boutique, offering a hands-on look at two notable timepieces: an ultra-thin model with striking blue accents and the limited edition L.U.C 1860 XPS Officer. His post provides detailed observations on comfort, aesthetics, and the unique features of these watches, including the intricate hand-engraved officer case back.

I've always liked LUC series, excellent quality/price ratio. The Chopard LUC XP is slightly too big, 2-3 mm less and there would be less blank space on the dial. Another option is to add a soleil dial or the second subdial, as you mentioned.
Ken, The L.U.C 1860 XPS Officer for the 20th anniversary of L.U.C Collection of watches is so pretty. Everything about it is authentic and as the descendent of my original L.U.C 1860/1 chronometre, would make any owner proud. I love the engraved bees on the inside cover and the beehive pattern all over. As you know, I'm a fan of the 'Chopard Bee Game', where we count the bees on our Chopard watches. Most have more than 40 bees but this example has only one lonely Japanese "bee"... L.U.C XP Urush
...love the hinged back and the engraving. Would like a sub-second dial on the first. Could do without the date on the second...
The ultra thin is just so easy to wear while having that oompth of casual coolness. As for the LE, well, I think it is super special thanks to all the attributes you mention and it doesn't seem to be over designed, quite the contrary, the end product is very harmonious. It would be a great choice if you decide on going for it! Thanks for sharing, Alex
My wallet is screaming while my heart is shouting......
I have played the lead role for that play a couple of times.. hehehe.
