The Chronomètre 27 are regulator watches using Longines 360 rectangular High beat 36,000 vph ebauches originally made for Observatory trials (size: 22.50 x 35.40 mm).

The case (31.50 x 44.00 mm) was inspired by the streamlined car designs of the 1930s and 1940s.

Kari Voutilainen made roughly 20 in total, both in white and rose gold, mostly with beautiful grey dials but also a few with other dial variants (brown, blue, cream, black).

Here are three examples, two of them unique pieces (Cozmopak posted his wonderful example here).

Best, Emmanuel

A/ ROSE GOLD with GREY DIAL - piece unique

B/ WHITE GOLD with MOCHA DIAL - piece unique (even if not engraved on case back)

C/ WHITE GOLD with GREY DIAL and BLUED STEEL DIAL SCREWS

What a design

I've never seen this before. Is the larger center disc sapphire? And is that the running seconds?
