Quattro introduces readers to Nicolas Delaloye's independent watchmaking journey, from the founding of Delaloye Genève in 2000 to its 2024 relaunch. The post highlights two significant creations: the original 'Le Garde-Temps' and the new 'Renaissance' models. This feature provides an exclusive look at Delaloye's distinctive approach to haute horlogerie, emphasizing unique materials and intricate craftsmanship.
Nicolas Delaloye entered the Geneva Watchmaking School in 1987. In
2000 he founded his own brand,
Delaloye Genève, and introduced his first watch: '
Le Garde-Temps' (the Time-Keeper).
In 2024, after an 8-year interlude at the Patek Philippe Museum, he relaunched the brand with a new watch: the 'Renaissance' (the 'Rebirth'), with a case made of 99.5% tantalum, a crown with inserted amethyst or citrine and powered by the ND01.s manual movement, decorated with pink 5N Côtes de Genève and hand-engraved.
Best to you all.
