KIH unveils the highly anticipated platinum model of the Ferdinand Berthoud FB1, following the sold-out white gold and rose gold editions. This post provides an exclusive first look at the new limited-edition timepiece, complete with detailed imagery and a comparison of the trio, inviting collectors to consider which metal best showcases this award-winning horological marvel.

Yet another "souvenir" I got during the factory visit - embargo Sep. 28th, 18:00 Swiss Time.

Here is the "Award Winning" Ferdinand Berthoud FB1 White Gold Model (LE of 50) - sold out!

Rose Gold model

And now, finally, Platinum Model - again, LE of 50.  Must hurry!

The TRIO from the back.

Checking the PT model from the sides.  Four windows shows inside.....

The TRIO from the front.

Which color would you want?  WG coloring is very authentic with blued hands, while PT dial is somewhat "new".  I like PT dial, if compared - I wish I could open my wallet!

... though the $260k price and technical singularity means that few Chopard owners will be interested?

Currently, I am looking at the futuristic Breguet Ref 7727; magnetic pivots and 10 hz. Looks promising. Check out the physics. www.watch-insider.com

or is it that the owner's don't know what they are going to look like in final production form? Curious minds ... Mike
