Something different for Francois Paul Friday.
These as many of you will recognize are the Barbier Mueller Mosaïque (II and I) each with Journe’s Calibre 1304.
The watches were produced in 2023 (II) and 2017 (I), being part of Only Watch and subsequent limited production runs.
I love both of these watches, preference would be for II as aesthetically the design appeals more to me.
It could my getting older, and having seen a lot of watches over the last 25+ years of collecting, but I’m more and more being drawn to watches like these, the rare handcrafts of Patek, enamel dials for UN and Chopard and even gem set watches. In short the more artistic driven watches.

Although at 41mm for the cases I believe, a tad large.
I completely share your love and fascination for them. I spoke to the workshop who did the stone inlays. It had been unbelievably difficult to make these pieces. The first one went for a song at only watch. If only one had been wiser at the time ……but ….
Looking back, was it 2017 OnlyWatch, it should have had a lot more eyes. Especially given that I’d assume the audience for OnlyWatch is a bit more narrow (and more established collecting wise).
…whereas my clothing tastes are going the opposite direction ! Mid life crisis 😂
