Holdemchamp1225's original post, featuring his F.P. Journe Chronomètre Bleu alongside his cat, Yokozuna, sparked a lively "Francois-Paul Friday" discussion. This thread not only showcases the enduring appeal of the Chronomètre Bleu but also delves into the nuanced world of bespoke watch straps, offering valuable insights for collectors looking to personalize their F.P. Journe timepieces.

The F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain represents the foundational timepiece within the brand's Souveraine collection. This reference demonstrates the manufacture's approach to precision timekeeping through manual winding mechanics, positioned as a core offering in F.P. Journe's lineup.
The 40mm case is executed in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel configuration. A sapphire crystal protects the silver dial, while the manual-winding caliber 1304 movement provides an 80-hour power reserve. The timepiece features 30-meter water resistance and is paired with a leather strap. Production commenced in 2000.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking F.P. Journe's mechanical execution in a fundamental three-hand configuration. The substantial power reserve and manual winding caliber position this model for enthusiasts who appreciate traditional watchmaking approaches within the Souveraine series framework.

That applies to the strap as well as Yokozuna Are you able to share where you sourced that strap, please?’ is it an FPJ or custom? Thanks.
ABP was also able to make it with such curved lug ends that fit perfectly against the case as in your picture? I mean is that a standard order request, or something they needed to customize to your request? Because it really is all perfect together 👌🏼
such as type of leather (nubuck alligator for me 95% of the time), length, width, stitching, type of buckle (tang or deployant), curved or straight end connection (this is where you would state it is for a FPJ piece but much better to give them the OEM strap to measure and copy to be sure), etc... As others have already stated, Jean Rousseau is the OEM strap maker for FPJ timepieces so ordering from them would give you a perfect fit each and every time since they already know the measures. Which kinda matches that exotic cat. And as usual, very nice CB. So nice. This is the only watch on my wishlist actually. I might settle for a CS instead, and get my name engraved on the piece=D.
