Jay (Eire)'s post showcases the enduring appeal of the F.P. Journe Chronomètre Bleu, a watch that continues to captivate collectors despite its widespread popularity. His stunning wrist shots highlight the watch's chameleon-like dial and its versatility with strap pairings, offering a fresh perspective on a beloved reference. This discussion underscores why the CB remains a perennial favorite and a significant piece in contemporary independent watchmaking.

The F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain represents the foundational timepiece within the brand's Souveraine collection. This reference demonstrates the manufacture's approach to precision timekeeping through manual winding mechanics, positioned as a core offering in F.P. Journe's lineup.
The 40mm case is executed in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel configuration. A sapphire crystal protects the silver dial, while the manual-winding caliber 1304 movement provides an 80-hour power reserve. The timepiece features 30-meter water resistance and is paired with a leather strap. Production commenced in 2000.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking F.P. Journe's mechanical execution in a fundamental three-hand configuration. The substantial power reserve and manual winding caliber position this model for enthusiasts who appreciate traditional watchmaking approaches within the Souveraine series framework.
Maybe not for everyday.
Take care of that badboy
I look forward to see one in live! cheers F
...Sound and Vison by David Bowie. As long as I’m the Mod here there will be no such thing as posting the CB too much 😁 I think your turquoise strap is growing on me, Jay! I actually love the way it pops in the second picture. I can see how it wouldn’t go with every possible attire but it doesn’t lack charm and sometimes a splash of color can add the right energy.
There are a lot of photos that show a very different dial, in person 90% of the time it’s really muted.
Although with this current world order (or is it disorder) I feel this one might become a little more attainable.
