Mike H shares a poignant moment with a borrowed F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain, capturing the essence of temporary ownership and the deep appreciation collectors often feel for exceptional timepieces. His post invites readers to reflect on the joy of experiencing a watch, even if only for a short period, and the subtle nuances that make certain references particularly desirable. This thread highlights the personal connection collectors forge with their watches, whether owned or on loan.

But I shall have to wake up from that dream soon and give it back to its original owner 😢. In the meantime I enjoy it fully.

Japanese businessman - a mysterious intellectual for the organized syndicates in Tokyo. He came to Singapore, stayed in the most luxurious suite, and basically brought an outfit of FP Journes for his weeks stay. I looked forward to the time when he came to the reception, to see what he wore - each day, a different FP Journe. He could see I knew what he was wearing. This is a true story.
