Robert 10 and I both love Journe watches. I was wearing my Resonance and Robert was wearing a wonderful Tourbillon so we had some fun and made  this picture together smile

…Great friendship, great conversation, great watches  - this is what WPS is all about….

A few days ago I had the immense pleasure of meeting Robert10 for the first time. Robert joined WPS a ltttle more than a year ago. But do not underestimate this guy. He is a very serious and knowledgeable collector with a very interesting collection, off the beaten path. In fact he is so serious that after a long work life, he has decided to make the full 5 years course to become a watch maker!! Nuts and very cool!

Robert has been bitten seriously by the FPJ bug like some of us here.

I’m taking the liberty here to share a few of your watches Robert. Hope it’s ok!

A Chronometre Souverain with embossed numerals. Sexy detail!

I completely fell for the that RD dial. It’s very hard to reproduce in pictures how lovely it is.

Also the Cartier is a piece I fell for.

I look forward to our next WPS GTG  and to introduce Robert to the community. I’m sure you will enjoy his company and knowledge on all things watches as much as I did.

Thank you for a great day, Robert. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,
Christian

About the F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance Ref. resonance

The Chronomètre à Résonance represents F.P. Journe's entry in the Souveraine collection, distinguished by its resonance complication. This reference utilizes the principle of resonance between two independent escapements to enhance chronometric precision.

The 40mm case is crafted in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. The silver dial houses the manual-winding caliber 1499 movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters, and the watch is completed with a leather strap.

This reference appeals to collectors focused on haute horlogerie complications and independent watchmaking. The resonance mechanism positions this piece as a technical showcase within F.P. Journe's manual-winding offerings. Production began in 2000, establishing this as part of the brand's contemporary catalog for collectors seeking advanced chronometric functions.
