ChristianDK's original post celebrates a personal triumph with a vintage Pomerol and his F.P. Journe Élégante, offering a glimpse into how collectors find joy in challenging times. This piece explores the intersection of horology and oenology, a recurring theme among enthusiasts who appreciate the finer details in both watches and wine. ChristianDK's reflections on his Élégante and wine pairing provide a relatable narrative for those navigating daily life with luxury timepieces.

The F.P. Journe Élégante represents the brand's entry into electro-mechanical timekeeping, distinguished by its hybrid movement technology within the Élégante series. This reference marks a departure from traditional mechanical movements in the F.P. Journe collection.
The 40mm titanium case houses the caliber 1210 electro-mechanical movement, paired with a silver dial and fixed bezel. Construction features include sapphire crystal and a rubber strap, with water resistance rated to 30 meters. The titanium case material provides a lightweight alternative to traditional precious metal constructions.
This reference appeals to collectors interested in F.P. Journe's exploration of alternative movement technologies beyond purely mechanical calibers. The electro-mechanical movement and titanium construction position this piece as a distinct offering within the brand's portfolio, catering to those seeking contemporary technical approaches in independent watchmaking. Production commenced in 2014.
If you had wine at this hour I would be concerned for you 😉😁 HAGWE Viken!
And I can start drinking anytime 😂
and I can certainly relate to the challenges of having young children around as you try to work. But it is fun spending all this time with them too. HAGWE
No Fpj yet for me but enjoy Christian!
I wished my Titanium had a similar texture on the dial.
This Elegante drinks Pomerol Merlot, out of German crystal glasses! Very nice! Did you use the corkscrew to get the cork out or did you use the two pronged "cork pull" to get the cork out? Very nice Elegante, my Titalyt version says hello.
