It is Rolex week for me while I am on a beach holiday with my family. But boy, do I miss my Journe watches so much. So here is an old one from my archive. It took me a while to accept all the “empty” space on the dial. Now it is something I have come to absolutely love.

Designed to work with a shirt cuff, then you don’t notice the left hand side of the dial. Great design. Enjoy your holiday Christian !
I think I’m not there just yet. Some times, seeing some pictures or even in person I’m completely sold. Other times, I’m not so sure. I do think the dial colour plays a lot into this for me.
Nothing to add, nothing to subtract. It doesn‘t get better than this. You will enjoy it all the more after going cold turkey! Cheers, Daniel
I always thought that the Lange 1 should have the dial mirrored for the same reason. Thank you, my friend 😄
I was on and off. I think you are right the right color/texture is what makes or breaks it. What I love, is the relatively large area that really plays with the light. As a watch, it is super easy to wear, with the long PR and date. An other hesitation I had, was the Automatic movement. It is just not that interesting to look at, as some of the manual movements. That is something I have decided to live with. However, I feel the dial makes up for it.
I love the piece Yes, a cold turkey is a good thing now and then. I can’t wait to the bank opens on Monday 😉 Br Christian
