AndrewD's account of his visit to the F.P. Journe Boutique in Paris provides an intimate look into the brand's unique retail experience. This article captures the welcoming atmosphere and the distinctive design elements that set F.P. Journe boutiques apart. Readers will discover the brand's commitment to creating an oasis for horology enthusiasts, far removed from typical luxury retail environments.
I have written about the Hong Kong F.P.Journe Boutique before, a true oasis from the bustle of the city and the other watch boutiques. So I took the opportunity to visit the Paris Boutique and the experience was equally delightful.
The F.P.Journe Boutique is located near the Sotheby’s Auction House on Rue du Faubourg St-Honore. The shop occupies the corner block and has the traditional accoutrements of the winding rotor door handles and the split shades depicting the Resonance. The location is perfect and in area surrounded by small shops and art galleries.
I meet the manager, Lucas Pouedras, and then spent an hour (or was it two?) in the company of the delightful Maurine Tessier. Maurine gave me a tour of the Boutique which is split over two floors. Downstairs is a general display area with some watch making tools. Upstairs is a Bar with French champagne and wine (but I had an espresso as it was still early). There is a library of books, including the works of Breguet and other important reference tomes. We talked horology in general and looked at some watches which I will bring you in future posts.
Please visit the F.P.Journe Boutique if you are in Paris. I can guarantee you will be made welcome and will see some fantastic watches in a relaxed environment.

The Chronomètre à Résonance represents F.P. Journe's entry in the Souveraine collection, distinguished by its resonance complication. This reference utilizes the principle of resonance between two independent escapements to enhance chronometric precision.
The 40mm case is crafted in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. The silver dial houses the manual-winding caliber 1499 movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters, and the watch is completed with a leather strap.
This reference appeals to collectors focused on haute horlogerie complications and independent watchmaking. The resonance mechanism positions this piece as a technical showcase within F.P. Journe's manual-winding offerings. Production began in 2000, establishing this as part of the brand's contemporary catalog for collectors seeking advanced chronometric functions.
By seeing your pictures, i can feel you enjoyed the visit. I like the design of the door handles, they look really nice. Looking forward to your future posts about the watches. Thanks again for sharing with us. Best regards Fabio
that I visited the FP Journe Boutique in Paris. Thanks to your pictures. I say this because, back in January, as I "needed" to go to the Hermes Boutique to buy something for my better half and the Hermes Boutique is located on the Rue du Faubourg St Honore, I park my car just across the street from the Hotel Le Bristol which is 1 minute walk from the FP Boutique. On my way back, noticing the FP Boutique, I looked at the windows and to my frustration at first but which turned up to be a "lucky" s
Great tour of the boutique, and marvelous pictures too. Looks like a real cosy place to be in, and I especially love that wall clock. Richard
I love their displays, the ease to sit and visit and look at the pieces. Their hospitality. All very intimate and of impeccable details. I am sorry I missed the Paris boutique. I can't believe I was right near there on my last visit. But I go to NYC to visit often. Thanks for the beautiful details. I really like the second floor approach on this one. Best, Joe
First because we are always warmly welcome and it is one of my headquarters in Paris! I visit the boutique once per week! :) Second reason... because it is located just in front of the most famous flat in Paris, the place where our President, Mr Hollande, met his girlfriend Julie Gayet... we can see the building from this window: It is funny, everyday, there are people who take pictures in front of the door... Anyway, thanks Andrew for the report, any PuristSPro member who is in Paris shall visi
