Ian's post sparks a lively debate, inviting the community to weigh in on two distinct blue dial aesthetics: the vibrant 'funky blue' of an H. Moser & Cie. and the understated 'matte blue' of a Patek Philippe. His comparison highlights the subjective nature of dial preferences, prompting collectors to consider factors beyond mere color, such as legibility and overall design philosophy. This discussion remains relevant as blue dials continue to be a popular choice across various brands and styles.

At least I'm not the lone ranger here,

I like the matte blue Patek also.

Writing on dials & paintings - here, LOCAL & HOME - is never a good idea, because you read it every time you look. So, the Moser dial is much better. Actually, it is anyway. [nt]

Moser has pretty spectacular dials, though the 5524 dial is also very well executed, more than one might tell from a picture...But dial-wise, overall I'm with this Moser ;-) [nt]
