Friends,

To tell you the truth, I am not a big fan of mixed metal cases…

But with this reference 5420, the original Girard-Perregaux 1945 I have no such hesitations!

Love from the get go!

The sensual curves of the dial, crystal and case. The Art Deco lugs and shape…

Do you have such watches that on paper would be a NO but in real is a YES?!

How could there be any hesitation with a 5420!

Looks like it has great presence on your wrist. I think you should try to find a correct period strap for it, what do you think? CC

The presence on the wrist is fantastic! :)

Very similar to the Vintage 94. Yes, a matching time period strap would be better... Thank you my friend. Best Blomman

The Omega Seamaster 600 Ploprof is one of them, indeed. [nt]

I handeled the PolProf several times and...

Yes, it has a very specific charm in real that is hard to see in photos. Best Blomman

Not a very photogenic watch, indeed. But in the real, its presence and character are top appealing. [nt]

I am not a fan of two tone cases. But, AP launched recently a new RO in steel and pink gold which is not so bad. In a spirit of novelty, I would like to see a new tantalum and pink gold RO.

Best wishes Alkiro
