Nikidasi shares a detailed one-year accuracy report for their Grand Seiko SBGV009, featuring the highly precise 9F82 quartz movement. This post offers valuable long-term performance data for collectors interested in the real-world accuracy of Grand Seiko's high-accuracy quartz calibers. Nikidasi's meticulous tracking, including the impact of a leap second, provides a rare glimpse into the exceptional stability of these movements.
for my yearly watch summaries I post January 1st or 2d for several years in the past.
I last set my SBGV009 on March 8 (Daylight Savings, USA) and it would be spot on, if not for the leap second. Impressive, to say the least! A question for you... Over the past year, how as the crocodile strap held up? - I only use mine occasionally, to preserve it (either using an aftermarket flat-black strap or the bracelet)... mine is approaching its 1st anniversary as well and using Watchville (earlier time and date) it is also in the zero to one second 'fast' area... Amazing! I usually use the watch to 'zero in' the other ones which are on rotation :o) Never imagined I could love a quartz movement!
