Chronometer (aka yacomino) introduces his new Grand Seiko SLGA007, praising its new Spring Drive movement for exceptional accuracy and visual appeal. He highlights how the watch's textured dial subtly changes under different lighting and discusses his preference for wearing it on a leather strap to enhance its aesthetic.
I think it was our resident doctor and good friend Tony who said: Grand Seiko have a way of sneaking into one’s collection! The new spring drive movement on this one is not only visually appealing but it’s also extremely accurate. I had to watch for three days now and so far I have zero deviation - hehehe
Also while the dial is very textured, under most lighting condition it does not look as extreme as the first picture in fact it is closer to the last picture and therefore not distracting at all when you look at the watch! I personally love the combination of a 40 mm case with 22 mm lugs and as you can probably guess you can expect to see a couple different leather straps on this one in the coming weeks! I actually think the watch looks even better with the letters trap here! It wear bigger then 40mm to me which is ok (maybe its the 22mm lug).
Of course i would have preferred no date and no writing on the bottom part of the dial, but at least they moved the reserve indicator on the back side (will post more pictures later)... Thanks for looking. Chronometer
