Meeting the Gronefeld Brothers in Geneva during the SIHH is a good habit I have, for years, now.

Not only they are very friendly, they also have some very good watches to look at. Last year, I could see the 8 seconds Remontoire and the Flying Tourbillon in the metal.

This year, it is the freshly issued Principia Automatic.

A watch which gave me a good " coup de coeur ".

Everything sings to me, on this watch. The shape of the case and lugs, its size ( 39, 5 mm big / 10, 5 mm high ), its dials, even if the pale blue is not my favorite, and the movement!

The Principia automatic is available in steel, rose gold and white gold. And you have the possibility to go for an enamel dial, too, with a substantial surcharge, but at least you have this option.

This new watch has a lot of charm, an unmistakable identity and character, and is superbly made.

The proportions are perfect for me, too.

My favorite version, until I discover what kind of enamel dial we can have in option, is here:

And, last but bot least, I am not a fan of automatic movements, but here, when I see the level of finishings and decoration, I can only say yes!

It beats at 21, 600 vibrations per hour, and has a good autonomy of 56 hours.

I tried this last one on the wrist, and I must say that the comfort is excellent. With this strap, not only you have a fine watch, but also an extremely cool one.

One of the watches I loved to discover at the SIHH, this year.

Best,

Nicolas

The One Hertz is top, the Flying Tourbillon as well, and the Principia. It is among these three.

But I would say... This one:
