Jay (Eire) shares a memorable H. Moser & Cie. 'stunt' that immediately came to mind after seeing a new Patek Philippe release. This post delves into Moser's unique approach to horological marketing, sparking a discussion among collectors about brand identity and industry commentary. Jay's observation highlights how Moser's playful yet pointed critiques resonate within the watch community.
Just leaving this one here for now. I saw it last year when Moser opened the new Boutique in Hong Kong.
It’s such a cool idea, a classic Moser stunt.
Maybe the best of all their stunts.
And with the chatter about the new Patek today this seems like an appropriate time to post this picture. As this is what I immediately thought of after seeing the Patek.

Pretty please bring dad back.
. . . wasn't 'SCHEISSHAUSEN'.
Let us never forget the cheese watch! I forgot it came with a cow strap!
Yikes... I don't have any desire to own their creations after this along with the Swiss Cheese Watch and open letter to the Swiss government episodes.
As it did exactly the same for me.. i even wanted to mention it in my reply post and then refrained from doing so… but i did look it up as the first thing that came to my mind regarding the Patek advert was Moser and this thing (even thinking, could it be a moser stunt).
Making fun of the whole watch industry. They gained lots of points with this stunt and got into lots of trouble 😂
