jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) offers an insider's view of an H. Moser & Cie dinner in Singapore, celebrating the launch of the new Moser Swiss Alp Watch S. The author, a self-professed fan of Moser's fume dials and minimalist design, shares his impressions of the 2016 novelties, including the Perpetual Calendar Heritage Special Edition and the Pioneer Perpetual Calendar. This report provides a personal perspective on the brand's growing presence and its unique approach to watchmaking.
I am a fan of H.Moser watches and I love my Endeavor Small Seconds with the brown/grey fume dials. Moser's signature fume dials, especially now with cooler and younger colors, are what attracts me to this brand mostly, along with their superb case designs, simplicity in their dials and function. And their movements are pretty too.

De Bethune DB25 Reference DB25
The DB25 represents De Bethune's entry in the 44.5mm manual-wind category, distinguished by its silver dial configuration within the DB25 series. This reference launched in 2006 and continues the brand's approach to contemporary haute horlogerie complications.
The 44.5mm case is crafted from 18k white gold with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. Water resistance extends to 30 meters. The manual-winding caliber DB2105 movement provides a substantial 120-hour power reserve. The watch features a leather strap attachment.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking De Bethune's technical approach to timekeeping in a precious metal case. The extended power reserve and manual-wind operation position it for enthusiasts who appreciate hands-on interaction with their timepieces. The 44.5mm sizing places it in contemporary proportions within the independent watchmaking segment.
Everytime I see Moser's dial, it reminds me of Berluti's patina. This one is much nicer than Hublot for Berluti. Wearing Moser and Berluti will be a nice combination HAGWE my friend... Ronald
I think I recognise one of the people from the Sincere event you invited me to last November, Robin! Really like Moser watches and the Swiss Alp Watch S is a nicely tongue in cheek design, which appeals to me a lot with the blue fume dial. Sadly, as my wrist is similar in size to yours, it may be too big for me, too... Will need to try the Henry first Thanks for sharing this with us, Robin! Btw. another Moser on the horizon for you?
I never thought previously about the combo Moser fumé dial + patina shoes. Excellent idea! Best wishes Alkiro
Anyway, the other ones are wonderful. All these fumé dials are now a true characteristic of Moser. Very well thought as it is original and... beautiful. From my side, I am still looking for the Mayu double hairspring in palladium. Hope I will find one in the future. Best wishes Alkiro
with a great brand full of great people who make great friends and produce great products! And how can I not post a photo of our bro watch! Cheers, Luis
Look forward to the upcoming Moser event in Hong Kong too! Joseph
