In late June 2022, the first Hentschel H1 Chronometer P20 landed on our wrists. I got mine a bit later in late July, but it is time to celebrate our " Baby's " second birthday!

With time passing, I love it more and more, I have to say, and I wear it quite regularly.

The Hentschel is not a show off watch, it is made for those who are in the know, a secret handshake between friends. A subtle, class and cool watch which gives a lot of satisfaction and pleasure.

It is one of these few watches you can wear on formal or casual occasions without any problem.

I really love the case dimensions, even if it would have been only me, I would have gone for the 37 mm version. But 39, 5 mm is not too big and the height ( 8 mm ) is perfect. The crown matches with the character of this watch, too.

The dial is very much to my taste. Silky, milky, deep, warm, very sensual, and these touches of deep blue and red gives it the right amount of life and coolness. I would have gone for fatter numeral indices, though, but as they are, they are good enough for me. The heated blue hands are superb and offer a great legibility, which is important for a Chronometer

As for the movement, it is a pleasure to admire it, with its CĂ´tes de Genève, Swan Neck and its screwed golden chatons. The German style.

Let's not forget that it is one of the rare modern ones to be manual winding AND Chronometer, tested for 1000 hours, and offering a superb accuracy ( - 4 / + 6 secs per day, even if mine is more around 2 seconds per day ).

We are quite proud of our Baby, aren't we? It became a very important companion for me, all along these months and years, a watch I have to put on a regular frequency, because if I don't, I miss it!

Happy 2d birthday to our Hentschel H1 Chronometer P20!

Best,

Nicolas

Especially the seconds hand, its slimness does match with sub dial and indices!
