I have had the pleasure of sharing photos of many Hentschel timepieces with you, today I'd like to give you a flavor of the place where those timepieces are brought to life... since most purists will not frequently have a chance to visit Hamburg and the workshop 😉

The Uhrenmanufaktur Hamburg is located in the midth of a residential area that is defined by early 1900s apartment buildings. On the ground level the manufacture features a quite large showroom where (almost) all models and options are on display.

The maritime roots that define the city of Hamburg and also Andreas Hentschel's watches are evident all around...

Right next to the showroom and divided only by large windows is a small atelier that also holds some historic machines next to modern equipment.

The main working space however is located on the first floor, with modern equipment and room for 4 watchmakers. By the way, Andreas Hentschel also trains young watchmakers into their profession.

Finishing this short tour around the Uhrenmanufaktur Hamburg, here's a photo of Andreas Hentschel that was taken for a magazine a few years ago... obviously this is not his standard workplace ;-)

Hope you enjoyed! I wish all of you and your beloved ones a peaceful and joyful holiday season 🎄🎁⭐️

Cheers
Henrik

This really has style. [nt]

Putting the products into their context is a good idea in almost every case. And it looks like it happened very nicely here. Ypur post brings back fond memories of a trip to Paris. Best and Merry Christman to you and yours from me and mine, Martin
