Besançon's initial post highlights the Lebois & Co. Heritage Small Seconds Script, drawing attention to its 37.8mm case and suggesting a strap change. This article explores the community's reception of this particular reference, delving into its design, movement, and overall value proposition. Besançon's critical eye sets the stage for a deeper dive into what makes this watch resonate with collectors.

Lebois & Co represents a contemporary approach to classical watchmaking, drawing inspiration from early 20th century pocket watch aesthetics. The brand positions itself within the modern independent watchmaking landscape while honoring traditional Swiss horological principles. This particular chronometer model exemplifies the brand's commitment to producing timepieces that echo vintage sensibilities without direct historical lineage claims.
The 37.8mm steel case houses what appears to be a manual-winding movement, evident from the subsidiary seconds register positioned at 6 o'clock. The cream dial features applied Arabic numerals and a railway-style minute track, design elements that reference early chronometer construction. The stepped case construction and polished bezel create visual depth while maintaining the compact proportions that define this model's contemporary appeal.
As a modern independent brand, Lebois & Co occupies a specific niche within the accessible luxury segment. The 37.8mm case size appeals to collectors seeking vintage-inspired proportions in contemporary construction. While lacking the historical provenance of established manufactures, the brand's focus on classical design language and Swiss production standards positions these timepieces as entry points into serious collecting for enthusiasts drawn to neo-vintage aesthetics.
"Under the different dials beats the Swiss-made LC-350 automatic caliber, which received a COSC chronometer certification and has a 56-hour power reserve. This is a Sellita 300-series movement, so apart from being accurate, it is also quite sturdy and carefree."
My favourite would be the blue version but from the website they are all sold out and apparently the metal bracelet was a free bonus gift for these founder versions. The pricing on these was excellent IMO and I'm sure when they release further batches they will sell well. Marc
I have been overly impressed with my Airain Type 20 Verte Militaire. That ownership experience made it easy to order the upcoming Heritage Chronograph Linéaire. My only problem was deciding which dial I liked more...
Can't wait to receive it. Glad to see you and HSTE agree!
Why did they put it up against the pinion like that? Ruins it.
Tough choice, I generally favor small second over index position but for some reason it doesn't bother me too much this time. Blue is my favorite.
