The never ending battle of chronographs…middle to heavyweight bout.

Before taking on the scales, which side do you prefer?

The betting market already pick their side, will the underdog come out and climb on the rankings in 2026?

About the Rolex Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Ref. 311.30.42.30.01.005

The Omega Speedmaster Professional represents one of horology's most storied lineages, tracing its origins to 1957 as a racing chronograph before achieving immortality through NASA's lunar missions. The reference 311.30.42.30.01.005 continues the Moonwatch heritage with faithful adherence to the design codes that earned NASA qualification, maintaining the hesalite crystal, solid caseback, and tachymeter bezel that defined generations of space exploration.

Technically, this modern Moonwatch houses the Caliber 1861, a refined evolution of the Lemania-based movement that powered the Apollo missions. The asymmetrical case construction, twisted lugs, and stepped dial hierarchy create the distinctive Speedmaster silhouette, while the dot-over-ninety bezel marking and alpha hands preserve the tool watch DNA that distinguished it from contemporary dress chronographs.

In today's market, the Speedmaster Professional occupies a unique position as both accessible luxury and genuine historical artifact. Unlike limited editions or precious metal variants, this steel reference maintains the democratic appeal that made it NASA's choice, offering collectors authentic space heritage without the premium associated with vintage examples or contemporary boutique releases.

Battle of the titans!

I like both your platinum- onyx and meteorite looks good and is unique materials. The Daytona sky blue and brown looks so sharp too. That being said I have my white speedy on, so that’s my choice 🤣
