Hello All !

I just - more coincidence than systemtically checking - am realizing I have been quietly approaching
the 5k - mark; 5000 comments and posts, many nice interactions here in this forum & platform,
and some other under other PProS fora, as well.

All this world here early-on ,has been pretty far away, when I started looking and lurking here,
some 4- 5 years ago;
- 5 years are quite a time, but still these months have been flying - so let me just say
to many, to all here, who have welcomed me & interacted with me in this cyber domain
a full-hearted thank you..

Special thanks goes to some individuals, friends meanwhile - Nico, Blomman & Baron, who have been so very helpful, and supportive and to many, who have written to me,
or dropped me a line & sometimes a smile .

Dear friends & Purists here, without you, in this internet based forum, this would have not been possible ;
these interactions, by chatting, by discussing, by sharing have achieved quite a bit for me !..

But most of all, thanks to the wonderful posts, notes, pictures, I have been learning a lot
and I still do..

Well, enough rambling, I just thought, I 'll share some of my watches, for each of the years,
I have been spending here !..

It all started around in
- late 2010, when one of the community watches, iconic to here, the Tribute To Polaris,
TTP 68 had been issued the year before; I was already trying to apprehend the soul of this watch,
and it's role for some, and it's pleasure for me, fostered by the superb spirit here;

And as I then got this watch ( at that time not yet fully aware of the Ins & Outs in this community here), I soon
felt encouraged to communicate and pick up interesting and valuable information..
- I increasingly enjoyed it here by reading, looking and soon was starting to
exchange some short comments and posts.

So, just let me list and share, some of the watches for those years, between 2010 and now, 2014

- These are not all, maybe not completely representative ,
but some time-pieces fitting my theme(s), and I guess, the 5k - though not important -
makes me reflect a bit.

I thought of including one or two for each year, (not all my tic-tacs during that time-span),
but as explained some with sort of characteristics of my journey taken..

2010 - The humble beginnings:

Most of it all started for me with the TT Polaris '68:

The TT Polaris in her stony environment.. Strong but molding in

The Polaris '68 .. A very attractive wrist impression

The TT Polaris and a bit of history..

TTP '68 - a strong character.. A community watch..

My early interest and still a focus has been the JLC Memovox theme; also with patience, luck and lots of
good advice from friends, it has been becoming a nice little assembly for me..

Thus, here an example from the funky 70ies, actually my first Vintage (J)LC

The LeCoultre 3072.. a true funky appearance

The year 2011 - An intense & hilarious year all around:

The Two Goddesses of the Sea.. TT- DSA EU & US

Jaeger Vintage Chrono... Nice time for a coffee..

Jaeger Vintage Chrono.. A special cute face

2 Candies : Jaeger Vitage Chrono & Geomatic

RG Geomatic... Noblesse oblige..

JLC Vintage E159.. Radium hands.. Green Rhapsody

E 159.. Tic-Tac love by a Lady

My top find in 2011: beloved Breguet Type XX / full set

The year 2012 - deepening the passion:

The TTR 1931.. Never wrong.. Always cool !

WS of Reverso Tribute To 1931.. Fagliano strap.. Distinctively different

Black MMV E 855 - A cool companion

Black & White MMV.. Nice Duo

The year 2013 - Consolidation and such:

JLC E2643/2 Chrono, The 'Shark'.. Special appeal

The year 2014 - The awakening & continuation of Rolex desire:

1675 - A funny colorful face !

Always a box full of colors.. Happy 1675

A very nice Military Trio: Mark VIIA Weems,Mark 11/ IWC, WWW/ MOD

Contemp 116710 BLNR - The 'Bruiser' - one of my 2 Rolex modern favs

Just a nice sub - 5513, glossy dial with WG circled indices

A rare find: 1675, Gilt, CR, PCG, exclam pt.

Thus.. I''ll tip my hat to everyone here & to our mods !

To come to an end - hope it didn't bore you:
- Thank you for having me here,
thank you very much !

Best, hs
smile

About the Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox Ref. 3072

The Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox reference 3072 is part of the "Funky Memovox" series from the 1970s, characterized by its distinctive case shapes and dial aesthetics that reflect the design trends of the era. This reference contributes to a lineage of alarm watches from the brand, known for their practical complication and varied stylistic interpretations over decades. It represents a period of experimentation in watch design, moving away from more traditional forms.

The reference 3072 typically features a cushion-shaped or tonneau-shaped case, often crafted from stainless steel. These cases house an automatic winding movement, likely from the 916 or 918 caliber family, which powers the timekeeping and the mechanical alarm function. The crystal is generally acrylic, consistent with watches of this period, providing a clear view of the dial.

For collectors, the Memovox 3072 appeals to those interested in vintage Jaeger LeCoultre pieces, particularly the more unconventional designs of the 1970s. It stands as an example of the brand's willingness to adapt its established alarm complication to contemporary fashion, offering a different aesthetic compared to earlier or later Memovox iterations. Its unique appearance makes it a notable piece within the broader Memovox family.
