What a crazy fun year 2019 has been on the horology front!
Have been fortunate to handle and own pieces from some of the most incredibly talented independent watchmakers!
I am very humbled by their talent and dedication.

I really feel like my collecting has matured and become more focused this year! Next year - hopefully will consolidate some more.

Happy New Year to all!

That is a wonderful lineup for the year! You are certainly flirting with the virtues of classic horology.

I love how you have found “your thing”. That is very rewarding and takes a lot of work (trial and errors + study + travel) Something we should all strive for in our own way, although it is probably also a moving target. I just learned about Laine. I need to see if I can find the opportunity to see more of their work in the coming year.

Just saw a few Laines in the metal a week ago . . .

. . . and impressed by their finishing. They may well be a highlight of your New Year, Christian. ;-)

A reliable secondary indicator of finish quality . . .

. . . can be gleaned by Tim Jackson's portfolio. If he's representing a manufacturer, you can bet the house it's quality.

Very true!

I got to meet Tim in person this year in London! Great guy with encyclopaedic knowledge of the indies.
